.
The Russian M-24M cargo resupply spacecraft, will undock from the International Space Station (ISS) on October 27, a spokesman for Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, told RIA Novosti Tuesday.
“The undocking is scheduled for 9:38 Moscow time [06:38 GMT] October 27,” the source said, adding that upon leaving the ISS, the cargo spacecraft would be taking part in a scientific experiment until November 20 to study the impact of its engines on the plasma in the Earth's ionosphere.
The Progress M-24M space freighter that was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan earlier in July has delivered fuel, oxygen, and food, as well as equipment for scientific experiments and parcels for the cosmonauts.

Fragments of Russia’s Progress M-24M cargo resupply spacecraft that were not burnt in the dense part of the atmosphere have fallen into non-navigable waters of the Pacific, a spokesman for the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) told TASS on Thursday.
The spaceship was de-orbited at 02:00 a.m. Moscow time on Thursday.
After undocking from the International Space Station (ISS) on October 27, Progress M-24M took part in a scientific experiment to study the possibility of transmitting optical signals to carry out the researches on the changes of the Earth’s atmosphere.
A similar experiment was earlier conducted with the use of cargo spacecraft Progress M-61, Progress M-65, Progress M-04M and Progress M-05M before they were drowned.
The spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur center in Kazakhstan on July 24, successfully docking with the Pirs module of the ISS in an automatic mode. It delivered fuel, oxygen, food and equipment for scientific experiments.
