Update: SpaceX is now targeting Saturday, Feb. 8 for the launch of Starlink 12-9.
Another SpaceX Starlink launch was set for early Friday afternoon, but SpaceX has scrubbed early for unknown reasons. SpaceX has stated on their website that launch is now targeted for 1:23 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Liftoff will be from Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40.
When the rocket does lift off, those south of the Cape could be in for a treat.
With the payload being in the Group 12 Starlink satellites, the rocket will travel on a southeast trajectory. This brings the potential for those south of Cape Canaveral to catch an afternoon show as the Falcon 9 rocket rumbles by.
Unlike Tuesday evening, no sonic booms will be heard. Eight and a half minutes after liftoff the rocket's first stage will target landing on a SpaceX drone ship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
