Launch recap: SpaceX Starlink launch from Cape Canaveral first of doubleheader
Early risers were treated to the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket early Wednesday morning, which was not only the first of a doubleheader, but a record breaking flight for a first stage booster.
SpaceX had confirmed the 5:13 a.m. liftoff time, with great weather conditions allowing for no delays. SpaceX typically aims for the beginning of the window, but various factors — such as weather at the launch and booster landing site — always play a role in determining the launch time.
Tuesday morning, the Space Force 45th Weather Squadron predicted less than a 5% chance of weather violation during this window.
