SpaceX Starlink satellites to launch on Sunday night from Cape Canaveral, Florida
According to a geospatial navigational warning, SpaceX is targeting Sunday night for the launch of its next batch of Starlink satellites. Currently, SpaceX has yet to confirm the existence of this mission or which Falcon 9 booster will be used.
At approximately half way through the month of May, this launch will mark the 36th of the year for the Space Coast. At this pace, it's looking like last year's record of 72 launches could be broken.
Sunday night's Starlink launch will occur from Cape Canaveral, Space Force Station Launch Complex 40. This area is located south of the Kennedy Space Center launch pads.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will carry the next batch of Starlink satellites into orbit as a part of the ever-growing internet constellation. Starlink provides internet access across the globe, including some of the most remote places on Earth.
What time is the Starlink launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida?
SpaceX has officially confirmed the mission as of Saturday morning. The company states that the launch window is open from 8:11 p.m. Sunday to 12:11 a.m. Monday.
Should SpaceX be unable to launch Sunday night, backup opportunities are available beginning 7:45 p.m. on Monday, May 13.
As with most Starlink launches, this launch will follow a Southeast trajectory.
Will this Falcon 9 launch cause sonic booms?
The Falcon 9 first stage will land out on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, no local sonic booms are expected.

On Sunday, May 12 at 8:53 p.m. ET, Falcon 9 launched 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
This was the 15th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SES-22, ispace's HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazonas-6, CRS-27, Bandwagon-1, and now 10 Starlink missions.
