MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The Progress MS-19 cargo spacecraft has been dumped in an unnavigated area of the Pacific after undocking from the International Space Station on Monday, Roscosmos said on Monday.

"The Progress MS-19 cargo spacecraft has been removed from orbit, entered into the Earth’s atmosphere and underwent destruction. The parts of its frame that haven’t burned up fell in an unnavigated area of southern Pacific," the company said in a statement.

The Progress MS-19 vacated the docking unit for the next spacecraft that’s scheduled for launch on October 26.

Roscosmos earlier said the Progress MS-19 would take away trash and equipment that’s past its lifespan from the ISS.

The Progress MS is a Russian automatic spacecraft that was created specifically to service orbital stations. It’s used to deliver various cargoes (fuel, scientific equipment, oxygen, water, food and others) to the ISS, as well as to adjust its orbit. The Progress MS-19 was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on February 15, delivering about 1,600 kg of cargo to the ISS, including equipment, expendables of the life support system, medical control and sanitary and hygienic equipment, clothes and food for cosmonauts, fuel, drinking water, compressed nitrogen. In addition, the space freighter carried six UZGU-55 nanosatellites Nos. 5-10.
