SpaceX’s Starlink satellites spotted in skies over north Alabama
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Many of you may be wondering what that mysterious string of lights is doing in the sky, but fear not it is not an alien invasion or UFO.
The lights many of you are seeing are SpaceX owner Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites. The lights resemble a train of bright lights in the sky. Starlink is his satellite network that is being developed to provide global broadband coverage for high-speed internet access.
There are currently about 1,500 Starlink satellites in orbit now from SpaceX.
WAFF 48 has received multiple reports of sightings in the Tennessee Valley Friday night. Starlink satellites have also been spotted over the UK and Ireland.
Starlink sightings can be tracked here: https://findstarlink.com/.

Since I wrote my first UFO article, my readers know that I am somewhat obsessed with UFO sightings. I am so intrigued and curious about the possibility of life in outer space. Seeing the videos and photos that are sent to me, excited me to want to write about them.
Was it a UFO that was seen over Garvin Park?
So, what is a Starlink Satellite and what are they used for?
According to Android Authority,
How many Starlink Satellites are there?
SpaceX has launched 1,740 Starlink satellites to date, with its first-generation system beginning launches in November 2019. Gen2 is planned to have nearly 30,000 satellites in total. SpaceX's Starlink mega constellation is designed to provide high-speed internet coverage to users around the world below, particularly those in remote and rural areas that do not have access to traditional internet connections. cnbc.com
Space X just launched a record number into space, from Cape Canaveral, a couple of days ago. So, it looks like, this time, we didn't see a UFO.
But, there is always next time.

Defence Sources Clarify
So what is it - a UFO or a satellite? As per news agency ANI, Defence sources have confirmed that it was indeed a satellite.
However, whether or not the satellite seen in the night sky was associated with Starlink is yet to be confirmed. But this at least puts a full stop to UFO and other aliens-related theories.

What was that mysterious streak in the nighttime sky above the Blue Ridge Mountains?
Residents staring skyward saw a mysterious streak in the nighttime sky over the Blue Ridge Mountains and Upstate South Carolina on Thursday night. Was it a comet? A UFO? “Hey @NWSGSP, I’m getting multiple messages from viewers who spotted this just after 7pm tonight,” Cody Alcorn of FOX Carolina in Greenville, S.C., posted on the Twitter account of the National Weather Service office in Greer, S.C. “People in the Blue Ridge area and really multiple spots across the Upstate. Any info on it?” Alcorn included a 16-second video of the object, which looks like a comet with a really long tail. The video post has drawn about 2,000 views.
Within an hour, the NWS solved the mystery: “This is from the SpaceX Starlink satellite launch,” an NWS meteorologist posted. At 6:12 p.m. Thursday, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 48 Starlink satellites and two BlackSky spacecraft into orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, SpaceX posted on its website with video of the launch. The launch and landing was the ninth for the Falcon 9, according to SpaceX. NWS meteorologists in the past have sometimes received “crazy” questions from people convinced they’d seen something extraterrestrial in the sky, NWS meteorologist Jeffrey Taylor told The Charlotte Observer on Saturday. The sightings turned out to be planets, stars or aircraft, he said. “Most things you can explain,” he said.

UFO or Santa and his reindeer? A string of mysterious lights pass over Colorado
People in Colorado and throughout the country took to social media on Friday night to share pictures and videos of what many described as a string of mysterious lights passing through the sky.
Different theories quickly spread on what the perfectly aligned lights could possibly be, spanning from asteroids to aliens to Santa Claus himself.
The truth, as it turns out, may sound equally out of science fiction.
The unusual lights are actually a constellation of SpaceX's Starlink Satellites that were deployed earlier this week.
The satellites are a part of a program intended to provide highspeed internet anywhere in the Globe.
Even with this explanation, its still a pretty miraculous sight. Check out this video, shared with us by Chasity Steele, to see how the constellation moved through the night.
