The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is set to offer guests a new bus tour to learn more about the United States' early space program.
Called the "Cape Canaveral's Rise To Space Tour," guests will see the historic Gemini program launch sites and get to tour the Sands Space History Center, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and Hangar C — the oldest surviving structure at the Cape built for missile assembly — with an expert as their guide.
This will be a special interest tour, meaning it's not included with daily admission to the park. Cost is $75 per person (on top of the $50 standard admission) and guests must be 14 years old or older to attend. Tickets must also be purchased by the Thursday before each tour due to security protocol.
Closed-toe shoes are required and guests will be provided with snacks and water, but are encouraged to eat beforehand.
Guests must register with visitor complex security officers between 9 and 10 a.m. on the day of the tour at the information center near the main entrance.
For American citizens, a U.S. government-issued driver's license, passport, military ID or U.S. sate ID card are required for guests 18 and older. International adults and children must present a valid passport to participate in the tour.
